We are Bath residents.
Like for many of you, we deal with the daily frustration of unreliable and slow internet access. We believe all Bath families and businesses deserve access to the same reliable, future-proof internet access, no matter where their address is in the city.
Fiber Optic Is Coming To Bath
Lately, you may have seen GoNetSpeed crews busy on our city streets, installing fiber optic cable for a new internet service.
Unfortunately, this utility upgrade is limited to the densely populated areas of the city and it excludes approximately 500 families and businesses in the less populated parts of town. See map.
A Path Forward
Recently, the Maine Connectivity Authority awarded the Bath Fiber Optic Alliance a “Get Ready” planning grant. This will enable us to advocate for our community and lay the groundwork to make sure no one is left behind.
The goal is simple: In collaboration with the City of Bath and a local internet service provider, bring fiber optic connectivity to every family who wants it.
